Charleston is the friendliest city in the United States according to a ranking released by Travel + Leisure. The annual survey of America’s Favorite Cities also listed Charleston in the No. 1 spot for noteworthy neighborhoods, stylish boutique hotels, and antique stores. Add to that its rich history and great beaches, and you can see why Charleston is an ideal place to attend school.
Home to a new Boeing 787 aircraft assembly plant, greater Charleston is also recognized as a hotspot for new business investment. With a fast-growing population, a technically skilled workforce, efficient access to the global marketplace, and a diverse portfolio of real estate options, it’s clearly a city on the move.
On campus, you’ll find that ECPI reflects the city’s same friendly spirit, offering a caring and collaborative atmosphere with plenty of clubs and organizations including:
- Electronics Technician Club
- IT Club
- Health Sciences Club
- Phi Theta Kappa
- Golden Key
- National Federation of Licensed Practical Nursing
- Student Ambassadors Club
- Student Veterans of America
The students, faculty and staff of ECPI Charleston are very active in the community, supporting causes like the American Red Cross, Debi’s Kids, Midland Park Community Center and Computer Lab, Alzheimer’s Walk, MUSC Children’s Hospital Toy Drive, Crisis Ministries Food and Toy Drives, American Legion, American Heart Association, ALS Association, Charleston County Animal Society, and Jenkins Orphanage, to name just a few.
